Trama

For thirteen years Dian Fossey lived and worked with Uncle Bert, Flossie, Beethoven, Pansy and Digit in the remote forests of the volcanic Virunga Mountains in Africa. During that time she established an unprecedented relationship with those 'gentle, dignified' beasts, now an endangered species.
In 1985, after years of defending the gorillas from brutal slaughter by poachers, Dian Fossey was herself murdered, probably by the poachers. This magnificent and tragic account of her work with the animals is a story of adventure, human achievement and remarkable endurance.
