Dopo The crown of gilded bones non avevo molta fiducia in questo libro infatti ho aspettato un bel po' per leggerlo rispetto alla data di uscita. Ora mi chiedo: PERCHÉ? Se possibile questo mi è piaciuto ancora di più del primo della serie di From blood and ash. Ci sono i DRAGHI, ci sono le scene con i pugnali alla gola, c'è il trope del "who did this to you?" che sfocia in sangue e distruzione, c'è lo smut, c'è il dolore, c'è tutto. C'è anche quella prevedibilità che ormai è tipica dei libri della Armentrout, ma penso sia più che altro abitudine alla sua scrittura visto che l'ho letto insieme a una mia amica che non aveva mai letto niente di suo e non ha percepito la prevedibilità di alcune cose. Ci sono anche tanti rimandi alla mitologia greca (magari qualcuno mi dirà di no, ma io li ho visti) che mi sono molto piaciuti. Per ora Sera non mi da sui nervi come il 90% delle protagoniste dei fantasy ed è già un gran passo avanti. Ha dei traumi e prova una rabbia che sento molto verosimili e capibili, soprattutto la rabbia. Nyktos. Wow. Forse è il mio preferito tra i protagonisti maschili della Armentrout finora. Devo assolutamente avere il secondo, ADESSO.
