Trama

"This team" is not a simple biography, nor a story. It is a verbal expression. "This team": that's how Emanuela defines the Girls that have evolved over the years in the squad of the national team. This team, after 89 medals and three world titles in a row, pursuing a dream: the Olympics in London.

«Questa squadra» non è una semplice biografia, né tantomeno un racconto. È un’espressione verbale. «Questa squadra»: così Emanuela definisce le ragazze che si sono avvicendate nel corso degli anni nella rosa della Nazionale. Questa squadra che, dopo 89 medaglie e tre titoli mondiali consecutivi, insegue un sogno: l’Olimpiade di Londra.
Un giorno, nell’estate del 2010, le ho detto, quasi per scherzo: «Manu, perché non scriviamo la tua storia e quella di queste ragazze?» Ricordo ancora l’espressione del volto e la sua risposta: «Se te la senti…» Sì, me la sono sentita. Così ci siamo trovate, per mesi, sedute una di fronte all’altra, con il registratore acceso, a incidere aneddoti, episodi, ricordi, e non solo quelli belli, emozioni… Ho raccolto tutto in questo libro, che, partendo dal primo titolo iridato, ripercorre a ritroso la storia di Emanuela e delle Farfalle. Lei che, con le sue forze, è arrivata in cima al mondo, scrivendo il capitolo più importante della storia della ginnastica ritmica italiana.
